haha good going on the sharing!! wow wow wow, listening to you guys makes me wanna share what i've been learning from mark parker too!! althought i'm not in the dts, one thing you can always catch from any veteran ywamer is simply watching them live their lives in speech and action (esp in the little ways). you know, they don't even have to preach a word to you for you to catch something! It's CHARACTER... when they live out the value of being before doing, of prioritising relationship before rebuke or teaching. We really have to learn to look beyond just what a person says (it's important but not the only thing) and receive something from their spirit . To discern what it is about this person's anointing and reproduce it in our own lives. One thing i'm so thankful to God for putting me in ywam for is the input that comes along, esp when you're giving out so much and times get tough, and i wanna share it with everyone!

wwell there's actually a lot more that i learnt this week but i'm really schleepy now so talk to me k? haha love ya all and bless ya all.... keep on hungering for God's word! meditate on it day and night... to NOT do that is a mistake!! =)

Hey vickz, just want to really say what you shared was really encouraging. Really sounds like what God is saying to a lot of us, and you put it down very well! especially when you shared the last part.. haha..

hi all...
just a little update on whats been happening in dts...
we're curently doing "giving up rights"...
haha such a lovely topic to just cruise through eh?
haha
sure.

but its been real enriching and a great reminder...
its not like we havent heard any of whats been taught before cos the speaker, Mark Parker, is touching on like, almost every aspect of LIVING IN THE SPIRIT, IN the NEW LIFE...
not only does it consist of living a life of intimacy with Him everyday more and more,
being a disciple, not just a believer cos anybody can do/be that :)
a disciple is really one who lives in obedience, lives to love, love and love other people, and produce much fruit! not just stay all comfy comfy on our already warm benches :)

and lordship...in order to become a disciple...
it costs everything...not just like salvation which jesus died on the cross for us...
lordship costs our very lives! [2 cor 4:7-12]
Giving up our rights...really to become, not just to get, get and get.
to become overcomers! ..not just be 'desert dwellers' in the wilderness and being so blind and deaf to god's call and purpose for us! be VICTORY LIVERS in the Kingdom Of God, not the kingdom of the world.
and there's nothing really you have to do in improve yourself for that...in fact, you have to DIE to yourself!

to me, what i got even out of only these three days was really why we do it...
why do we do it when it costs us everything here on earth, at least...?
not only cos we've expereinced His love and mercy and faithfulness and realness (cos we forget, we dont believe, we lose focus)...
and just knowing our purpose (knowing Him, living a life of FREEDOM, a life of GLORY, a life of LOVE, a life of HOLINESS, serving Him in learning how to wait on Him, being the salt and light of the world, and fearing the Lord! ) isnt enough....
But cos of a vision that god gives us!
you know we will perish without a vision??!?
the size of your God determines the size of your vision.
(like how similarly Paul Hawkins said that what you know/think about God deteremines what you know/think about anything and everything else!)
and of course, what you know about Him raelly comes from the time you spend to get to know Him better and more personally :)

so get yourself a god-given vision!
a HUGE one too! :)
and fix your eyes on jesus, the big picture, NOT the fallen trees and boulders, our 'problems' !
...run the race, marathon actually, with perserverence!!!!! :)

hahahhaaa....but just before i end...there is a little warning attached :)
