CHOOSE TRUTH OVER FEELING

Gods truth is absolute. It goes beyond how we may feel and surpasses any circumstance we may be in.
"He will turn the Heart of the Fathers to their children."

Malachi 4:6 NIV
" For a day in your courts is better then a thousand elsewhere, I would rather be a door keeper in the house of the Lord than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows Grace and favour.
No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly."
Psalm 84:10-12

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." Prov 16:9

"It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:7-8

"Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" Galations 5:22

I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake and remembers your sins no more. Isaiah 43:25

For I desire mercy, not sacrifice and acknowledgement of God rather than burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6

Whether you turn to the right or the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk ye in it." Isaiah 30:21

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Greater love has no-one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. John 15:13-14

Hi guys! Thankful to you guys who still keep this going. I guess blogs are those things that people read more than they contribute, more because they are lazy i think.

But I am sure people come and check in once in a while to read what God has been doing in our midst, which is the whole purpose of this thing. haha... just want to put the YC logo here...

hope you guys are all good. Combined prayer meeting tonight for Missions Month!!

Older ones, checkout this site. Cool articles about post modernism and culture etc. if that's yr cup of tea :) *sip*

Thoughts about T3 (watched it last night)

I am thankful to have a God who is in control. People who do not have God, struggle with the concept of destiny, purpose, fate, the meaning of death and "usefulness", control and fear (all covered in the movie).

I am glad that God as our ultimate protector (cos He is the lover of our souls, out everlasting father) does not do it cos He is programmed to, neither is He an obsolete design or an inferior model, but He is, as He was and will be, the Only One true God who eigns and rules without equal in the universe. And He has chosen to reveal Himself to us, and to come to us, and to die for us and to be sacrificed for us, and so we can live. And now He is interdeding for us... Wow.

I am glad my destiny is not an act of fate, but of intricate and perfect design.

I am glad the future is not known or is it set, but is only in the hands of Almighty God and He does not make mistakes.

I am reminded to pray for all those who do not know God and to avail myself for His plans, that people will know Him because there IS a judgement day coming for everyone that is even MORE terrible than a nuclear fallout, one that not only destroys our bodies, but destroys our body AND soul.

I can identify with the last scene when calls start to come in after the missles start to go up and John Conner has to make a decision to respond to the need or not to the distress calls. That is a good picture of us Christians. Once we get saved and we enter the "safe house" of the fallout shelter, do we enjoy it, laugh at those who are not with us, get upset and kill ourselves to escape it or do we, like him, respond to it after considering the implications and know that once you start going down that road and you take OWNERSHIP ("who is in charge there? .... I am") of the responsibility given to you, your life is changed forever.

May our lives be ruined forever for the ordinary, to respond to His love for us and the whole world, and take on the awesome responsibility of carrying His message and light to our friends, our families, our country and to the nations, to the Glory of His name.

It's not someone else's job, it's ours. The phones are ringing. People are dying. God's glory is at stake. What is our resoponse?

*************

:) Just some thougts. God IS doing a great thing in our midst. Keep going!

thought to chew on, for YC especially.

"If you want to go fast, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together."
